Meet Afifa.
I joined NINET in October 2015. In the lab, I prepare and run clinical tasks and treatments for Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), Electroencephalography (EEG), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation-electroencephalography (TMS-EEG), Near-infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS), and Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) component of the studies. I also assist with electronic data entry of rating scales related to the neurostimulation clinical research and help with monthly data quality checks. I am interested in the neurobiology of mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and Major Depressive Disorder, and especially treatment-resistant neuropsychiatric disorders.
