The NINET lab is happy to announce the publication of the paper “ECT Treatment in patients with Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders: A Case Series”.

This is the largest series published on the use of ECT for in patients suffering severe somatic symptom disorders.

We hope this is useful for patients and clinicians facing scenarios where other treatments have not worked and the consideration of pursuing ECT arises.

This paper was considered by the Canadian Psychiatric Association (CPA) worth the R.O. Jones Best Paper Award, and Dr. KaWai Leong was presented the award last week at the CPA annual meeting, where he also gave a brilliant presentation of the findings.

You may download the paper clicking on the reference below or going to the Neuropsychiatry Disease Treatment website.
