Meet Olivia.
I am a second-year medical student at UBC with a background in Chemical & Biological engineering (also from UBC). I am currently doing a part-time research project at NINET that focuses on seizure adequacy in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). My main interest lies in combining engineering and medicine to help improve treatments for diseases with high burdens of mortality and morbidity, such as major depressive disorder. I am very interested in all things related to the brain as I think it is the most fascinating organ (according to itself!). I have greatly enjoyed my time at NINET so far and look forward to continuing my project.
